🎵 We’re Looking for a New Choir Leader! 🎵
Our choir leader Mr Chris Grabham has just been appointed as the new Musical Director for The BRIT School in London. He has done a fantastic job developing our musical ability, especially with our a cappella singing, and we’ve grown in confidence and skill under his direction. As he moves on to this exciting new role, we’re now looking for someone new to lead us.
About Us
We are a choir of all ages and abilities, and we welcome anyone and everyone who wants to sing for pleasure and enjoyment. We sing a wide variety of music, from pop and folk to world music, in four-part harmony, and a cappella. We rehearse weekly on Thursday evenings and perform at local events and concerts throughout the year and include the Minster and Warehouse Theatre, as well as local churches and halls, to support fund-raising events for local charities and worthy causes.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who has the musical experience and enthusiasm to lead and inspire a mixed-ability adult choir with no auditions and who can commit to regular weekly rehearsals and occasional performances. We need someone who can build on our strengths and help us continue to develop our harmony and a cappella singing. The choir has a steering group to deal with administration matters and to assist with music selection and procurement. This is a paid role, with fee and terms to be agreed.
